To Tera from Niamey
There were practically no camels along the way from Niamey to Gotheye. They as we went away from the Niger river, we saw more again. Mostly, ox carts and donkeys were used as transport along the river. In Doumba, we bought some wooden chairs and saw several dogs, two males at the front. Then a particolor male and a red female. The female had a grizzle female pup about 6-8 weeks old. She was pretty. The man said we could have her for a pack of Marlboros. Because the other dogs had shorter legs, we said no, but she was sweet.

In Tera, we saw three dogs, one Parti and two reds. They weren’t bad, but not so noble as those we saw in the North. The exit stamp from Niger went smoothly and we continue to the Burkina Faso border, about 50 Km. We’ve seen no dogs with rear dewclaws in Niger. Parked tonight outside of Tera. Reinhard has a migraine and now he was the stomach thing since this AM. Uschi thinks it was the yeast in the bread she made. I don’t know, I’m just glad I feel better.
